Parish Buying

Grace Okafor

Head of Parish Buying

Grace took on the role of Head of Parish Buying in November 2022. Prior to this, she was ACCA’s Procurement Manager for Global Markets. She holds a BSc in Management and Accounting, and Certificates in International Women’s health and Human Rights and Stress Management and Coping skills. She is currently undertaking her MBA in International Oil and Gas Management as well as a Certificate in Understanding Mental Health. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

Beth-Joy Macleod

National Procurement Officer

Beth-Joy is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and was appointed as National Procurement Officer (Parish Buying) in November 2022. Her main responsibility is supporting the Head of Parish Buying deliver some of the Church’s wider ambitions (e.g., commitment to carbon net zero by 2030). In her spare time, Beth-Joy enjoys travelling throughout Europe.

David Richards

Net Zero Officer

David is the Net Zero Officer, with a wide range of practical experience and delivery in energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects David is looking at how to make the process of moving towards Net Zero for Parishes easier to understand and make the access to services and supplier needed across a range of measures simpler, taking some of the pain away from Parishes as they make inroads into their Net Zero ambitions.  

Mairi Smith

Mairi took on the role of Church Building Maintenance Partnership Officer(CBMP)  in September 2023. She is responsible for facilities management and will focus on the Church Building Maintenance Partnership project to deliver savings and efficiencies in building maintenance for worshipping communities. Prior to this, she was a Facilities and Health, Safety and Compliance Manager for both charity and blue-collar organisations. She holds a NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Fire and NEBOSH Construction (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) which is a globally recognised qualification covering health and safety and risk management.  She has also undertaken many facilities management, wellbeing and international relations courses.  She is a Technician member (TIFPO) of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and holds a Technical Member (TechIOSH) for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Digital Giving Team

Grace Emmett

Digital Giving Manager

Grace is responsible for enabling greater access to digital giving for churches, including a three-year rollout of digital giving that will see 2,000 churches across the country receive contactless donation devices. Grace is also working to improve reporting mechanisms for online and contactless giving to give dioceses better insight into digital giving as an income stream for churches.

Megan Husband

Digital Giving Support Officer

Megan is the Digital Giving Support Officer and joined the team in August 2022. She helps with the digital giving rollout and supports churches and Giving Advisors in all things digital giving, from online to contactless.

Catia Oldrey

Giving Administrator

Catia joined the National Giving team in October 2022 as the Giving Administrator. The main part of her role is to support the delivery of the National Giving Strategy, mainly by supporting the digital giving roll out. Catia also provides administrative support to the wider team and the initiatives they are leading on.
